Departure for Menton, a town famous, among other things, for its many magnificent gardens and the Lemon Festival in February where huge citrus arrangements are made that can reach up to 10 m in height. Visit to the town and the ‘Val Rahmeh’ exotic botanical garden (admission and guided tour not included – on request).  The garden, created in 1905 by Lord Radcliffe, now serves as the Mediterranean antenna for the National Museum of Natural History. It collects plants of the Labiatae and Solanaceae family (such as the datura) and also an important number of exotic fruit trees, such as avocados and banana trees. Not forgetting the kiwi plants and the ‘Sophora toromiro’ sacred tree of Easter Island, which grows in the open ground! In total there are more than 700 plant species. In the afternoon, visit Monaco with the possibility of lunch in a restaurant or visit Dolceacqua with the possibility of lunch or typical dinner in a restaurant.

Arrival in the Principality of Monaco and opportunity to visit the Exotic Garden. Continue to “La Rocca” where you will find the Oceanographic Museum, the Prince’s Palace (open from May to September) and the Cathedral with Princess Grace’s tomb. Continue to the famous Casino, or free time for a stroll to see the beautiful shop windows and charming gardens.
